San Vito Chietino is a town and comune in the province of Chieti in the Abruzzo region of central Italy.

The town is bordered by Frisa, Lanciano, Ortona, Rocca San Giovanni, Treglio and Fossacesia.

This small serene touristy town, boasts a rare and unique attraction, "La Costa dei Trabocchi". Trabocchi are giant wooden platforms built since 1400, in the middle of the sea. They can be seen from the town of Ortona to Fossacesia. Most often people describe them as giant spiders. For local fisherman this was one of the method to fish abundant catch for the residents.
