San Miguel High School is a private, Roman Catholic high school in Tucson, Arizona. It is located in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Tucson.

San Miguel HS was established in 2004. It is part of the Cristo Rey Network of high schools, the original being Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Chicago.
San Miguel High School in Tucson started off in the classrooms behind Saint Monica's Catholic Church and has extended into four brand new buildings.

From the San Miguel High School website:
"San Miguel High School is a Catholic, Lasallian learning community empowering youth from underserved families, nurtures a Christian spirit and integrates rigorous academics with practical experience thereby transforming students to be prepared for college and career."

The first senior class to graduate from San Miguel did so on May 17, 2008. The entire class of 37 students have been accepted and are attending various colleges and universitys. A total of $3,561,150 in scholorships adn grants have been awarded.[1]
[edit] Book about the Cristo Rey Model
In January 2008, Loyola Press will release a book titled More than A Dream: How One School's Vision is Changing the World (More than a Dream official site). The book, authored by G.R. Kearney, a writer and former volunteer teacher at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Chicago, documents the unlikely development of the Cristo Rey model and its remarkable success throughout the United States.

The students attending San Miguel are each qualified and trained to take jobs all around Tucson in order to pay for their high school tuition.
