San Lorenzo High School, also known as "SLZ", is located in San Lorenzo, California and is part of the San Lorenzo Unified School District along with the school's rival, Arroyo High School. The school is currently being remodeled.
San Lorenzo High School includes two academies in partnership with the California Partnership Academies program:
- Open Theme
- Bay Area Digital Arts - an academy which covers all the regular subjects while teaching skills in digital arts. Students participate in various visual/performing arts classes and their learning is enhanced through creativity. Participating instructors include Aaron Vanderwerff,Gretchen Livsey, Lance McVay, Jesse Isaacs, and Alicia Dorosin.
San Lorenzo High Students participate in a variety of activities/clubs including DECA, Link Crew, Druids, FASO, PenSLZ, GSA, BSU,La Raza Unida and many other student organizations.
Students also participate in athletics such as Women's/Men's Soccer, Football, Golf, Basketball, Tennis, Volleyball Softball, Baseball,Track and Field and Cross Country.
The Rebel Record, the school newspaper, is part of the High School National Ad Network.
San Lorenzo students also participate in ASB-Associated Student Body to organize events such as dances, rallies and philanthropies such as blood drives.
San Lorenzo students are also able to enroll in Advanced Placement and Honors courses such as AP government, AP Calculus, AP US History, AP English,and AP Chemistry.
