San Loco

San Loco is a New York City based Mexican food mini-chain founded in 1986 by Darrell Nelson. Their first three restaurants are located in the Lower East Side and East Village neighborhoods of Manhattan:

  • 151 Avenue A (Between 9th and 10th Streets)
  • 124 Second Avenue (Between 7th and St. Marks Place)
  • 111 Stanton Street (Between Essex and Ludlow)

The fourth is located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

  • 160 North Fourth Street (Between Bedford and Driggs)

The original San Loco was founded at 124 Second Avenue. Their latest and largest addition at 160 North 4th Street Brooklyn has seating for 65, with a full bar and pool table.

San Loco has free delivery. At one point San Loco helped make donations to the local boys club, by featuring a weekly special. Currently, they sponsor a Williamsburg, Brooklyn youth baseball league, The Wolves Athletic Org. San Loco was also featured by Robert Sietsema in the Village Voice's roundup of the 100 best Latin eateries of the city, San Loco came in at 38.

Their menu includes various types of Tacos, Burritos, Salads, Soups, Fizzy Lizzy Soda drinks, enchiladas, and other food. They also have an extensive vegetarian menu. San Loco has 4 different degrees of homemade sauces -
