San Jacinto Senior High School

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

San Jacinto High School is a high school in Riverside County, California, USA. Its current location since 1968 is 500 Idylwild Drive, San Jacinto, California [1]. Several prior locations are recorded in the history of the San Jacinto School district, founded in 1868, including a schoolhouse built in 1885. Its first teacher and principle was Professor Edward Hyatt [2], who had declined a place on the Stanford University faculty in order "to supervise the establishment of a high school" in San Jacinto for 40 students. He would later become the first State Superintendent of Public Instruction for California in 1907. [3], [4].
