San Ildefonso, or La Granja, is a town and municipality in the province of Segovia, Spain, situated 34 miles (54 km) northwest of Madrid, where Philip V built a splendid palace— La Granja— in 1721-24. It has been called "the Versailles of Spain".

On 12 August 1836 at La Granja, some of the Liberal leaders compelled Queen Christina to sign a decree restoring the Constitution of 1812.
