San Francisco Friends School (SFFS) is an independent private Quaker school located in the heart of The Castro District in San Francisco, California. Students are currently Kindergarten through 5th grade with plans to expand to 8th grade. The school's philosophy is to work with Quaker values of simplicity, peace, integrity, community, equality, and sustainability.
SFFS purchased the historic Levi Strauss building located at 250 Valencia Street in the Mission District. The renovation, which has already commenced, will include classrooms, laboratories, performing and fine arts facilities, a gymnasium, a library, offices, parking, and a Meetinghouse space. SFFS has plans to occupy the building by the fall of 2008.
There are 252 students at SFFS this year (2007-08).
