San Francisco Challenger

The San Francisco Challenger was a train operated by Southern Pacific Railroad,Union Pacific Railroad and Chicago and Northwestern Railroad. Starting in 1936 It operated on the route from Oakland, California to Chicago, Illinois via the Overland Route. The Challenger was discontinued in 1947.

The Challenger was a modern train which carried the most up to date, Fully air conditioned luxury cars.
