San Antonio La Isla is a city in the State of Mexico. It is located in the southern extreme of Rio Lerma inside Valle de Toluca. San Antonio La Isla is the head of its municipality, Villa San Antonio La Isla. Its neighbors are Calimaya in the North, Santa María Rayón in the South, Atizapan and Almoloya del Río in the West. Its total surface is 2,415 hectares.

San Antonio la Isla is located on what once was the valle del Matlatzingo, being its first inhabitants the Matlatzincas, later on, they were conquered by the mexicas, losing all the legacy from its first inhabitants.
