The San Antonio Iguanas were a minor league professional ice hockey team in the Central Hockey League based in San Antonio, Texas. They were the first expansion team in the CHL and were active from 1994-1997 and 1998-2001 for a total of six seasons. Their home arena was the Freeman Coliseum though they occasionally played in the Alamodome. The team ceased operations after failing to find local investors following the Spurs purchase of the San Antonio Rampage from the Florida Panthers.
