San Antonio Bay is an estuary in Texas, U.S.A. The bay is mainly formed by the combined waters of the San Antonio and Guadalupe rivers.

[edit] Geography

San Antonio Bay is located at the mouth of the San Antonio River, about 55 miles (89 km) northeast of Corpus Christi and 130 miles (209 km) southeast of San Antonio. The bay is protected from the Gulf of Mexico by Matagorda Island, and the relatively small and distant outlets to the Gulf make for little mixing between bay and Gulf waters. The Aransas National Wildlife Refuge is located on the southwest side of the bay.
