SANAKO

SANAKO is a corporation, based in Finland, that makes language laboratory products for teaching and learning languages. The company's roots are in the Norwegian company Tandberg.

In 1961, Tandberg created its first language lab.
By 1979, Tandberg was a global leader in the field of language labs.
in 1984, Tandberg Educational, the language education division of TANDBERG A/S, was sold to Teleste OY of Finland.
In 1985, Tandberg Educational, Inc., was formed in the US.
In 2001, Teleste's Educational assests were spun off into Divace OY as part of a management buyout.
In 2003, Divace changes its name to SANAKO.
In 2004, SANAKO acquires the US division, Tandberg Educational, Inc. and renames it SANAKO, Inc.
