Non-free images

I have removed a large gallery of non-free images from your user page. Please note that on Wikipedia, non-free images may only be used in articles. On user pages and other places, they are not covered under a claim of fair use. Please see WP:FAIR for more information. Thank you. --BigDT 17:28, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

User Boxes

I have recently created a user box (User Rod Stewart Fan), but cannot find out how it can be included on pages other than direct transclusion, or how to include it in galleries, etc. (Sampm 04:48, 20 April 2007 (UTC))

Try {{User Rod Stewart Fan}} Real96 04:52, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
Hi. I see you're making educational userboxes using some template or another. It's often better to just use hard-coding in order to make the things format correctly. In particular, you may want to make the link for KWC into a span or at least give it its own font color (say, yellow) so that its present standard-link-blue doesn't disappear into the purple background. If you want some examples of how the coding could work, take a look at my "Crap I made" page. Just click on "edit" and copy out whatever coding you need. Particularly, look at the userbox for San Francisco State University. You can just reverse the colors, plug in the text for KWC, and have yourself a good, tidy userbox. Let me know if I can help with anything. --Dynaflow 06:41, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

Invitation

I've taken you up on joining "Wikipedians by alma mater: Western Kentucky University." Now allow me to extend an invitation to you to join us at WikiProject Kentucky, a project aimed at creating and improving articles related to the state of Kentucky. Acdixon 13:56, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

Thank you

Thank you for adding the cover to the Babacar (album).Shaneymike 14:25, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

And thank you adding the cover to Native Son as well. Shaneymike 19:41, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

Hey you know the album cover you put for Adoremos? Well that isn't the album cover. You think you can find the original cover and replace it? Thanks! --Quetzal123 16:27, April 26, 2007 (UTC)

Thanks

It's a little blurry, but that's the right picture. Thanks for changing it. Quetzal123 02:45, 28 April 2007 (UTC)

Source of the Phi Mu crest

Thank you for uploading Image:Phi mu crest.jpg. Could you please indicate where you obtained the image, so we can have it fully documented? Without source information, it leaves the image susceptible to deletion. Thanks! —C.Fred (talk) 02:48, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for adding the source information! And a sheepish thank you for catching where I didn't clean up my cut-and-paste. I uploaded Mu Beta Psi's crest, so I knew I'd written a fair use assertion before. I just forgot that I named the article in the text of it. :) —C.Fred (talk) 21:29, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
Truthfully, I wouldn't have guessed that you're new. I see far too many new editors who just don't get it as far as why images need their source and correct licensing information, and why articles need reliable sources for assertions in them. (Actually, I've been active on the Sigma Alpha Mu article with a number of the "notable alumni" assertions that aren't cited, doubly with some discrepancies about what Bob Dylan's status is.) So, I took it as a matter of you just overlooked it when you uploaded. Plus, based on your user page, it looks like you've been at it a while, or at least involved in a lot of stuff. I've been doing this for—I think it's only a year and a half, but I'm starting to lose track :) —so if you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'll at least be willing to get you pointed in the right direction. Happy editing! —C.Fred (talk) 02:03, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

Garcia/Grisman albums

I see that you have been adding covers to some of the Garcia/Grisman albums. If you have any other suggestions to make those articles better I would love to have the help. Usually things are better when more than one person is working on it. Thanks Moorematthews 18:07, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

Fairuse rationale on...that article with the Swedish name

You know which one I'm talking about, heh. Anyways, I'm glad you found the rationale useful. I found the image in the category of Orphaned Fairuse, but discovered it wasn't an orphan and rescued it instead. The template I used for the rationale lives here Template:Non-free fair use rationale, if you so wish to use it in future. I've found it helpful. PMC 08:22, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
