[edit] Booking.com

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Booking.com, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Please refrain from creating promotional articles; Wikipedia is not an advertising service. GlassCobra 07:58, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

The way that the article was written seemed to directly imply spam and blatant advertising as defined by Wikipedia's speedy deletion standards. We have articles on Expedia and Priceline because they are by far the largest sites of their type, so they have notability (another thing your article lacked), and are written with a neutral point of view. If you respond to this, please do so underneath the text you've already written, not at the bottom of the page. Thanks. GlassCobra 17:17, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
Yes, for test articles, use the Wikipedia sandbox, or create your own sandbox by clicking User:Samorro/Sandbox and then creating the page. Sandboxes are great for checking code and seeing how articles will look before you actually put them up. Here's the important part: whenever you're editing, if you want to see how something's going to look, you can hit the "Show preview" button right next to the "Save page" button. It'll show you how the page will look without actually saving your changes. Tell me if you have any more questions, okay? The last thing is, when you write on any talk pages, including another user's, put four tildes (~~~~) after your comment to include your name and the date. Happy editing! [edit] Image tagging for Image:Woordmerk.png

Thanks for uploading Image:Woordmerk.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Woordmerk.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:Woordmerk.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 09:16, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
