New user page
Looks great! Only thing is that I'd think twice before posting your picture -- as you know, wiki can get quite personal. Take care. -- Samir (the scope) 07:01, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
- I have nothing to fear. If John Lee Ming Keong can post his picture without a problem, I don't think I should have a problem either. joturner 07:06, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

Thanks. It was one of those accidental things. I was working on the Regina Airport and saw his name and it was easy to find the info. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 22:58, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
about the sig
FYI, per WP:FAIR you can't use fairuse images outside of article spaces. That means Image:Team Canada.gif, probably shouldn't be in your signature. I'm not an admin, so my comment is just informational. --Rob 04:06, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
- Good advice, thanks, changed the sig. Cheers. -- Samir (the scope) धर्म 04:38, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

Links are not spam
Hi Samir
You just deleted the links I placed on Tanzania and Kenya pages etc. I appreciate that you're taking care that content is appropriate for pages but you are mistaken as these links are *not* spam - the links are all to additional resource pages and should be of interest to visitors. They are all relevant, not marketing or pushing anything but provided as a resource for free. BTW, the liks also took me hours to do. Now I've clarified that point, I'd appreciate you restoring the links as they fall well within the rules.

re: Martha Corey
yeah I just saw your comments. I missed those, and am withdrawing nom. But seriously it needs a major overhaul. --soUmyaSch 16:06, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
RE:Your comments on my RFA
Well, I did go nuts for a while; I've created about 3 articles (not FA or anything, but still :P); Vibroweapons, Character Builds in the Guild Wars Universe (helped create it), Equipment in the Guild Wars Universe, a lot of stuff to Guild Wars itself, and User:Master of Puppets/Ships in Homeworld 2. So I think if I keep trying, I'll pass next time. Anyway, thanks for the comments! :) Oh, and this isn't intended you pressure you into changing your vote; its your vote, I'm not gonna meddle with it. Just some people get the idea that I'm "bullying" them. _-M o P-_ 21:37, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
Fix link
you may want to fix the link in your DB--E-Bod 04:35, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
- Trying to, looks like a glitch in the db template. Any ideas? -- Samir (the scope) धर्म 04:47, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
- I Take the article was deleted (because my link won't work anymore) so there is nothing to fix. You can ask on the Template's talk page about the glitch so somebody can fix it. Though I think you might have not pasted the full URL into the Box. (Off Topic now) I read a bug report somewhere that sometime editing long pages the bottom of the page gets deleted. When this has happened to me after i read about it so their are bugs in the system--E-Bod 21:23, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
Celiac thanks
Welcome to the celiac page; glad to have you there. I have been editing it some lately as it was sort of hard to read and not completely accurate - my partner was diagnosed 10 years ago. I've been currently trying to hunt sources for things. I hope to tackle the tests soon - it would be great to have some type of algorithm to help people know how to proceed, especially if symptoms or family history prevails and test are neg. Also need some stats about the chances of false-positive and false negatives. Just saying hi.ViewsAskew 04:13, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
User:Gummmmmy
Thanks for moving the warning template from the user page to the talk page of User:Gummmmmy. I shouldn't make such a simple mistakes. Thanks again. Blarneytherinosaur 11:01, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
Nice one
Many thanks for the 5-pointed one, looks like I'll hit 3000 eds today so nice timing ;) My Torontonian, Sens-fan girlfriend is leaving for TO in a few days to start a new job, so I'll probably have even more time to devote to the 'pedia in the next couple of months... Calling a Spade a Spade
My apologies for the abusive language on that IP's talk page. However, I've dealt with his kind before, and they understand only three things: Fundamentalist religion, money, and getting beaten over the head into a pulp with a Luser Attitude Readjustment Tool. 'Happyfaceism' won't work. I do understand the value of assuming good faith for a newbie, but bigots simply don't understand the concept of playing nice with society or fellow humans (or any concept past 2+2=4 and 'Kill the [insert racial or sexual minority here] for that matter). They simply want to rid the world of those individuals, behaviors, and entire demographics whose mere existence personally offends them, preferably by extreme violence.
These bigots and fundamentalists see our individual freedom to love whomever we want, drink and smoke what we want, and otherwise pursue happiness as an affront to be quashed and the 'perpetrators' put in cages or set upon with weapons and murdered in cold blood like animals. If it's war they want, then war they shall have! E. Sn0 =31337= 17:57, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
I find your lack of faith... disturbing.
Dear Samir/Archive 3,
- Thanks for voting on my RFA! I appreciate your comments and constructive criticism, for every bit helps me become a better Wikipedian. I've started working on the things you brought up, and I hope that next time, things run better; who knows, maybe one day we'll be basking on the shore of Admintopia together. Thanks and cheers, _-M o P-_ 22:09, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

Dear Samir: I think Nathan still believe that I was trying to be an Anon. I was not. I was not able to sign on. I tried to and it said that I had refused to "accept" Wikpedia "Cookies," I tried to go back and set my computer to accept any cookies, but it was useless. I pushed the wrong button when signing on top Wikipedia. Is there any assistance or guidence you could provide me to avoid future confrontations with people thinking I am an Anon? thank you

Talk Page Vandalism
I'm sorry, but the Sens are down 2-0 against Buffalo and your Swedish captain isn't doing much. A second round loss by the Sens this year is much more disappointing to Sens fans than the Leafs missing the playoffs this year, based on expectations. Now I always battle this out with Earl Andrew all the time, he is also a Sens fan... and there is always one uncomebackable argument.... We've knocked off your Sens four times in a row, we have a 16-8-0 record vs. the Sens in the playoffs (most of them upsets), and until the Sens knock off the Leafs in the playoffs or win a cup, Sens fans really have no argument. The Leafs have made the Final Four four times since the Sens came in 1992, and the Sens have only made it once. I'd take Sundin over Alfredsson anyday. I'm sorry, but there is no way that Leafs fans can be mocked by Sens fans. Habs fans maybe, but not Sens fans. Croat Canuck Go Leafs Go 01:49, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

My RFA
Hi Samir,
Thank you for supporting my RFA! Unfortunately it did not succeed mainly because most opposers wanted me to spend more time on Wikipedia. Thank you for your faith in me & looking forward to your continued support in the future.
Cheers

Re: Levannah Harris
Rob, do you know anything more about Levannah Harris that could help with verifiability? Would help with the AfD. Thanks. -- Samir (the scope) धर्म 08:34, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
- Yup. She's definitely real. The woodcut image is an example of her early work and it is hanging in my living room. I have another piece of her early stuff which I can upload too and have added a note in the article's defence on the deletion page because it would be a shame for her to have no online coverage. I'm very fond of her stuff and would be sad to see the entry deleted. user:angry_candy

Hi Samirbhai - I'm very sorry to have disappointed your expectation in me, but it had become impossible for me to compromise my principles. I don't covet adminship at all, so it wasn't a difficult decision - I simply cannot accept misrepresentation and nonsense. However, I cannot tell you how greatly joyous I feel at the enthusiastic, wonderful support you expressed for me. I don't know how hard it will be to understand that your supports means extremely a lot to me. I thank you from my heart, and please let me know if I can ever be assistance or help in anything. - Thanks for your kind words. However, its not WP's loss, because WP is about knowledge. Whether I apply again will be purely on whether I will be useful in that capacity, and certainly not based on compromise of my principles. Rama's Arrow 21:38, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

Hey, thanks for your msg. Too bad he had to withdraw but I feel he did the right thing. I was hoping that my "classy" vote would stem the oppose tide and garner more support votes. However, it doesn't matter, 'coz i'm happy that I could vote for him before he withdrew. --Gurubrahma 05:01, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
