So it is...
Hello Samir. I am trying to contact an administrator to monitor the "Frontline (magazine)" Wiki entry. It is getting repeatedly vandalized by a right wing supporter who doesn't participate in Discussion Forums. Can you block editing on the Frontline (magazine) page till there is enough discussion. The most accurate entry has been edited in my name, Vrsrini (of course it is my subjective view too).
Thanks.
Well, I guess we should wait for Alison's co-nom? :) She seems to be up to her neck in work, though, both on- and off-wiki. If she wants to do it she should probably take her time, go over my contributions and whatnot—I've no problem waiting. Fvasconcellos (t·c) 16:42, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

- Ok - done! Take a look and let me know if it's okay. This is my first co-nom. Thanks for being patient :) - Alison ☺ 05:30, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you both. I guess I'd better not overthink this, so anytime would be nice—I wouldn't want a wheel war over who posts it on RfA ;) Enjoy call, Samir (ha...) Fvasconcellos (t·c) 15:36, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

- It's been copied into place --> Wikipedia:Requests_for_adminship/Fvasconcellos. Just needs signing and transclusion onto the RfA page - Alison ☺ 18:28, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

- Well, the pressure was too much :) Phaedriel went ahead and put it up. Fingers crossed :) Fvasconcellos (t·c) 18:12, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

RfA questions review
Hi - I'm finally done with the questions, as I'm not futzed on diphenhydramine today. (I. Hate. Ragweed. And. Mold.) Please let me know what you think about them. Thanks! KrakatoaKatie 20:21, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
Thanks
Artaxiad
Samir, did you refer to my "allegations"? At least WP:ANI archive seems to indicate that you did. I'm rather puzzled, to be honest. --Ghirla-трёп- 14:10, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
- No, no. He was referring to the discussion below. :) — Nearly Headless Nick {C} 14:51, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
Where did this "protect" button come from?
I'm an admin! I'll send out a lovely note in HTML later this weekend, but I wanted to tell you and Walton first. Thanks so much for your support and for everything you've done – it means the world to me and I'm quite grateful. I have some reading to do now, methinks! - KrakatoaKatie 17:25, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
Well, well...
It looks like got this one right :) I'll send out proper thank-you notes later, but I had to do this now. Thanks again, Samir—I won't forget this show of trust anytime soon. Fvasconcellos (t·c) 16:28, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
And your note, kind sir:
Thank you, Samir, for commenting on my RfA, which closed successfully with a tally of 76/0/1! I hope I will meet your expectations, and be sure I will continue trying to be a good editor as well as a good administrator :) If I may be of any assistance to you in the future (or if you see me commit some grievous error :), please drop me a line on my Talk page.
Again, thank you, and happy editing! Fvasconcellos (t·c) 17:36, 10 June 2007 (UTC) |
Crohn's Disease article
I just posted there about what I would like to do. I am so sorry; I did not see your response to me above my new post. I would love to work with you on this article. Right now I am in a major flare up and I see my GI tomorrow who will hopefully help me get it under control. I also work with my son, no one else would hire me do to the meds I have to take and I don't blame them so I hope to be able to start going through my links and posting them on the talk page for discussion first. I think discussing might be the best way to avoid any problems. Thank you, I remember you being one of the first to greet me when I started here! :) ----CrohnieGalTalk/Contribs 11:18, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
Deletion of Sundance Bilson-Thompson article
Hi, I noticed this article was deleted yesterday. There was an eariler proftest-based proposal to delete his page, which I responded to by adding an explanation of why his research is interesting/significant. Just wondering if you could clarify how this fell short of making the page worth keeping - considering that it's been around for quite a few months and there is a sizeable discussion in the preon page that links to it. Hello
Hi! How are you doing?--Dwaipayan (talk) 13:38, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
Response to your comments
I am responding to your post on my talk page. I am doing better thanks. Having strictures and particial blockages are not fun but I guess it's now part of my life. Unless I agree to another surgery which isn't happening now, will wait until I feel it's is needed. Thank you though for thinking of me. I plan on hopefully adding to the Crohn's article soon. Some new things have been happening but I haven't been up to looking at them yet. --CrohnieGalTalk 13:16, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
MaRS
Could you add MaRS Discovery District to your watchlist. It seems there is someone or a handful out there with a POV to push. First it was User:Rpab, who POV'ed and violated copyright[1] then User:Chjovans POV'ed it and turned it into marketing-speak (WP:ADS). Nephron T|C 00:43, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
- I posted a message on Chjovans' talk[2]... we'll see where it goes. Nephron T|C 01:02, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
Tyrus revisited?
Note: I also posted the following message to the admin User talk:Kafziel. I have a strong suspicion that user 69.208.210.158 [3] is a sock puppet for blocked user User:TyrusThomas4lyf based upon the common theme for recent edits as well as the Chicago based IP. One indication of this can be seen by comparing [4] and [5] along with the edit summary at [6]. Further edits by this IP (and 68.253.216.115) may be worth monitoring. Myasuda 04:23, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
