There's a start for you... It's a truly pathetic stub, but something to build on. The Harry Ransom Center link that I've provided (in the references) has plenty of reliable information to develop something larger than the stub I've just created. Go for it! はじめまして、日本語で失礼します。二階の書生人と申します。 "Agatha Christie's Great Detectives Poirot and Marple"の項 EnglishTitleについてですが、邦題をそのまま訳せばSamatarou様の訳のとおりとなります。 たしかに、「総理大臣の失踪」は"The Prime Minister's Disappearance"であって"The Kidnapped Prime Minister"「誘拐された総理大臣」ではありません。

暇人の戯言に少しお付き合いください。

和訳した際、改題されることはよくあります。 例えばミステリであることを分かり易くするために末尾に「～事件」「～の謎」「～の殺人」等々を勝手に付けることは普通に行われていました。 それだけにとどまらず、内容にそって全く原題と関係ない日本語の題名がつけられた作品も多々あります。 Agatha Christieの作品も、早川書房が翻訳権を独占している作品以外は、複数の出版社から同じ作品が出ており、違う題名が付いているものがあります。 翻訳者の方が一生懸命頭を捻った題名を軽んじるつもりはありませんが、和訳したものをさらに英訳して、原語である英語の題名から離れるのは如何なものかと私は思ってしまう訳です。 もちろんこういった事は日本固有のことではなく、Agatha Christieの"The Sittaford Mystery"がアメリカでは"Murder at Hazelmoor"という題になっていたり、映画化の際に改題されることがよくあるというのは理解しています。"And Then There Were None"が"Death on safari"(1989)になったりとか 　しかし、このアニメは、Agatha Christieの著作権の管理者より「日本国内に放送、ＤＶＤの販売等を限定すること」という条件で、NHKに対して制作許諾がなされた作品です。(放映当時のミステリマガジン(早川書房)などに記事有り) 　ご存知のとおり、主な視聴者層向けにMabel Westを登場させたりとか改変が少なからずあります。もちろん著作権管理者の許諾は受けているのでしょうが、前述のとおり限定的なものでしょうからあまり刺激したくないのです。--219.66.20.116 (talk) 11:09, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Karin logo.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box.
