[edit] Welcome

Hello, SamDavidson, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!  -- JimR 10:16, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cognitive therapy

Thanks for the section on children and adolescents. A reference or two would help to make this authoritative: do you have any available to quote? -- JimR 10:16, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

Sam - just wanted to say thanks for adding some reason to some unreasonable (or unreasoned?) discussions about psychotherapy with kids. Your attachment comments (and edits) are particularly helpful. What's most important, I think, is that you're really pushing folks to think objectively/scientifically - and not simply accepting folklore. Thanks! ~~Theguyinblue 11:36, 19 July, 2006

[edit] John Bowlby

I was planning to wait until the mediator returns, as a gesture of good faith. --David.Mestel 20:20, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

Just to answer your comment elsewhere-- you see, if what you said about training in EBT criteria were true, there would be no argument here. If you're interested in this issue, you might want to start by reading Chambless & Hollon and by looking at the CONSORT and TREND checklists. A considerable concern is not about design but about transparency of reporting. Jean Mercer 17:46, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

I am quite familiar with EBT and the various criteria. The citation you mention is one of several and the criteria is one of severa. You might want to become familiar with the full range of approaches. SamDavidson 19:46, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] blanking

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent contribution removed content from Caseworker. Please be more careful when editing articles and do not remove content from Wikipedia without a good reason, which should be specified in the edit summary. the lines in question do not seem relevant to the article. I will explain on the talk page. SamDavidson 21:37, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
Gotcha. Just as a point of ettiquette, it's usually good to explain first, then delete, or give explanation in the edit summary. If there's explanation on talk it's good to point people there in the edit summary. Thanks for explaining yourself so promptly. Natalie 22:09, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
thanks for the advice and pointers...I appreciate it. SamDavidson 23:18, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
No prob. Feel free to ask me any other questions you have. Natalie 23:20, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Formal Mediation

A request for mediation has been filed with the Mediation Committee that lists you as a party. The Mediation Committee requires that all parties listed in a mediation must be notified of the mediation. Please review the request at Wikipedia:Requests for mediation/Attachment Therapy, and indicate whether you agree or refuse to mediate. If you are unfamiliar with mediation, please refer to Wikipedia:Mediation. There are only seven days for everyone to agree, so please check as soon as possible. shotwell 19:20, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

Don't forget to indicate whether or not you agree to mediation within the next two days. shotwell 10:18, 26 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Social Work

You made a recent edit to the Social Work article. If you are a social worker, you may consider adding youself to the MSW or Wikipedian Social Workers categories. I am trying to get more people in this field, interested in working on the social work related Wikipedia articles. If you have any questions, just post a note on my my talk page. Ursasapien 05:15, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

By adding the userbox, you will be automatically added to the "MSW education" category. There is an userbox at User:Ursasapien/Userboxes/social worker if you want to be added to the "Wikepedian Social Workers" (Social Worker profession) category. Great to have you aboard! Ursasapien 01:18, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
I have created a new WikiProject, WikiProject Social Work. I have begun to work on this project and I would love to have your help. Please take a look at it and consider joining the project. Many thanks,
Sure. SamDavidson 17:32, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
