Ahh, well thanks much. Nice to know that i can make a woman laugh without ever having me me. Usually, that only happens after the first kiss. :) Arcayne (cast a spell) 12:01, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

ULL

Your recent edit to ULL (diff) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to recognize and repair vandalism to Wikipedia articles. If the bot reverted a legitimate edit, please accept my humble creator's apologies – if you bring it to the attention of the bot's owner, we may be able to improve its behavior. Click here for frequently asked questions about the bot and this warning. // MartinBot 03:05, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

I have Martin's talk page on my watchlist (not stalking, just keeping an eye open for vandalism), and I have to say that while I'm not sure what causes it, MartinBot does sometimes revert reversions of vandalism. It happened to me back from before I got this account. I'm sure the warning can be removed, as you didn't really vandalize anything. --LuigiManiac 03:31, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
Thank you, I'm just a bit nervous to remove anything, being rather new and all. Sam42 03:34, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
I wouldn't worry about it. I don't know anything about the bot, but I would suspect that it had to do with "Replaced page with" being in the edit summary. WP probably defaulted to that because you removed a lot of garbage, so the size decreased dramatically. Just replace the edit summary with "rvv" (revert vandalism) next time and you should be okay. Wikidan829 03:54, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
Okies thanks very much. Wiki is more complicated than I thought! Sam42 03:57, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
Nah it's not that complicated. What happened to you should be rare. Martin did a great job with his bot, but computer software can only be so perfect. If you need help with anything, let me know. Wikidan829 03:59, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
It is! All the templates and things...very confusing. Right now I'm staring at my user page trying to fix something. I. Hate. Tables. Sam42 04:03, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
Even some experienced users here have trouble with tables. What are you trying to do? Wikidan829 04:05, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
It's okay, I figured it out. I was trying to add the comment bar at the top of my page. I ended up copying code from other people haha... Sam42 04:28, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

All right, sorry, it seemed like mass deletion to me. Sam42 10:27, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

Wikipedia New York Meet-Up

Howdy! Please come to the First Annual New York Wikipedian Central Park Picnic. R.S.V.P. @ Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC --David Shankbone 14:33, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

You! With the towel!

I was innocently trawling for a new userbox for my user page... when I notice it was made by a certain Sam42. I said, "Self, would this be OUR Sam42? For that would be funny and strange." And LO, IT WAS YOU.

So, hello. I'm kind of a Gnomish wikiperson, because I usually can't be arsed to create whole articles from scratch. I've been around for quite a while but didn't bother getting an account until January, lol. I'm sure I will see you around. :D Laerwen 18:43, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

Heyyy! I don't do much, honestly. When I'm bored I watch for vandals and if I see punctuation and/or spelling errors I fix them. Hee. Sam42 19:35, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
H'lo there. I'm very much the same! I correct spelling/grammar mistakes. Sometimes I'll rearrange syntax if I think it's appropriate, but I don't win points for being "bold", here. Laerwen 20:08, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

Uploading an Article from a megazine

A detailed article was published in a local megazine on Sial Sharif, can it be uploaded to wikipedia?

And secondly the article on Aal-e-Peersial was realy not nonsense because, i think , you dont know the cultural environment in Pakistan. And this kind of things are frequently asked about. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ezazsialvi (talkcontribs) 11:57, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

In the morning, there are exciting plans for a behind-the-scenes guided tour of the American Museum of Natural History.

In the afternoon, we will hold a session dedicated to discussing meta:Wikimedia New York City issues (see the last meeting's minutes).

In the evening, we'll share dinner and chat at a local restaurant, and (weather permitting) hold a late-night astronomy event at Columbia's telescopes.

You can add or remove your name from the New York City Meetups invite list at Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC/Invite list.

Rollback

You have been 1 granted with the rollback permission on the basis of your recent effort on dealing with vandalism. The rollback is a revert tool which can lessens the strains that normal javascripts such as twinkle put on the Wikipedia servers. You will find that you will revert faster through the rollback than through the normal reversion tools such as javascripts and the undo feature, because the rollback feature does not require fetching the data from the page history and then sending article data back to the Wikipedia server as the javascript requires, therefore you could save time especially when reverting very large articles such as the George W. Bush page. To use it, simply click the link which should look like [rollback] (which should appear unbolded if you have twinkle installed) on the lastest diff page. The rollback link will also appear on the history page beside the edit summary of the lastest edit. For more information, you may refer to this page, alternatively, you may also find this tutorial on rollback helpful.Yamamoto Ichiro 会話 21:32, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
