Friend, I undid your change because it did not link to an article.

I suggest that you link a name only if you are creating an article on that person. You may well have been in the process of doing so and, if so, I apologise for "jumping the gun".

Also I understand the Wikipedia style is generally not to link names within quotes. Whilst I note I have breached that rule in the very same quote, I just mention it as something to consider.
