- The Beard Liberation Front is a semi-humorous British pressure group dedicated to the promotion of beard-wearing and opposition to "beardism", or discrimination against men with beards. Each year it awards "Beard of the Year" to a significant bearded personality.

- Cnidaria is a phylum containing about 10,000 simple ocean-dwelling species, including jellyfish and corals. Their name, 'nettle creatures', refers to some cnidaria's toxic, potentially fatal sting.

- The Chinese House is a garden pavillion in Sanssouci Park in Potsdam. Frederick The Great had it built about seven hundred meters south-west of the Sanssouci Summer Palace to adorn his flower and vegetable garden.
- The Antique Temple is a small round temple in the west part of Sanssouci Park in Potsdam. Frederick the Great had the building constructed to house his collection of antique artefacts, coins and gems.
- Ms Scandalous is a British Asian bhangra/rap artist and member of Panjabi Hit Squad, who recorded her debut album Ladies First last year.
