Hi, I'm Samuel Gabay, a fourth year materials engineering student at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. I've been Wikipedia on and off for a while, and I am interested in stepping up my level of involvement. I am intrigued by the idea of free online encyclopedia that anyone can edit. I have mostly contributed to articles about my school and my home state, New Mexico, USA. I hope my contributions will give poeple a better idea about this diverse area.
I am currently trying to organize a WikiProject on improving/adding corrosion-related articles. Topics would include forms of corrosion, corrosion protection, etc. Many articles (e.g. pitting corrosion) would be greatly expanded. If you're interested, let me know!
I live across the street form the operations center for this thing, but it's actually about 55km away.
