I don't know... this whole "World Conference of Jews" needs a better citation in my opinion. I've never heard of it, but I would think such a thing could be easily cited from a neutral, scholarly or newspaper article. Wjhonson 20:16, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
I agree, I found this on a pretty biased website. I could not find a better reference at the time. If somebody sees one please point it out to me. Thanks Mark 17:45, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
- I think you might find the idea that there is some kind of "World Conference of Jews" plays into the hands of people who think the Jews are in some kind of conspiracy to take over the world. I think the idea that there is such a Conference is a fallacy. You should remove the reference if it came from a biased site. Wjhonson 17:56, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
I agree that a suspect source should be used only if it can be corroborated. In fact, that whole paragraph seems to place the blame for what happened in the gheottoization and Holocaust on the Jews. Mary Rees 20:17, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
You are right to be concerned. One of the cources given at the bottom of this article, to a 7thflame website, is to a racist site which indeed blames the Holocaust on the Jews. This whole article is tainted by racism, i.e. in the separation of Untermyer's Political and Zionist activism, and his including the boycott of nazi goods, which was an act of Jewish self-defense, under Zionist activism. it also repeats the canard about Nazi anti-Semitism coming only in response to jewish actions, but as the page I incorporated from the U.S. Holocaust Museum clearly shows, Hitler began anti-Semitic legislation almost immediately upon taking office (first pieces of legislation barring Jews from universities and the civil service in April 1933) and Untermyer's didn't begin acting until May and his NYT speech wasn't until August.82.35.62.245 13:16, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[D D Guttenplan, author of The Holocaust on Trial]
