S.L. Shane was an artist who was a part of the New York School. He worked in Paris with a number of well known American and international artists. Shane dropped put of the art world in the mid 1930's for variety of political and personal reasons. In recent years an number of experts in art have developed an interest in exposing Shane to a wider public.
