June 14th, 2005 This is the only place where I've ever heard of an "African-American slave." Who in Hell composed that weird phraseology? Slaves were captives, not citizens. 16:52 GMT...Tuesday

Are you serious? The phrase gets 16,000+ Google hits. And as the article says, Green was not a captive, he was born to slave parents in Maryland. Gdr 21:08, 2005 Jun 14 (UTC)
