Talk:Samsung SGH-T809

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I'm concerned that this article appears to be original research. The "Tips for Users" section is also out of place, because Wikipedia isn't a how-to or guide. — Saxifrage 19:06, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

You are right... my "tips" stuff was not really wikipedia-appropriate stuff. I deleted it... --Estephan500 13:38, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

Hey, does anyone know why this page does not get picked up by the wikipedia search box? if I type t809 or sgh-t809 in the search box, this page does not come up. ideas? Estephan500 14:07, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Merge from Samsung T809

These articles cover the same handset and have different information. Samsung T809 has more details on the phone, but it's posted using the model number used for branding instead of the actual model number. I'd suggest merging that article into this one, since this article uses the actual model number of the phone, and a redirect would result. • WarpFlyght (talk) 15:10, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

  • I have no problem with them being merged... if that happens, though, can you just put the content of both articles together, and then afterwards we can trim out any redundant info? Also, I think the full name SGH-T809 is probably the most appropriate, it's the full title, I believe. We can also plunk in info about the european phone that is almost identical to this one, only software differences... in any case, go for it... especially if you can figure out how to get this to show up on the search engine (it has gone for months without showing up! and I notice that when you use Google to search wikipedia, both of our t809 pages show up) --Estephan500 19:01, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
  • Aricles look almost the same, so a merge will be smart. Mbralchenko 16:36, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
  • Merge - for consistency. All articles (should) have the SGH designation. DJR (T) 11:11, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
