Talk:Same-sex marriage in Argentina

[edit] Merge proposal by Marianocecowski
I'm neutral as to the merge (I don't know whether there's enough information on SSM to support a second article), but if they do merge it should be the other way around, with LGBT rights in Argentina as the remaining article (there are more rights issues than just marriage). - I proposed the merge in that direction, because I considered the same-sex marriage articles to be a more wide-spread standard in wikipedia. The fact is that a lot of info is duplicated, and maintaining both copies of the same thing is much more work. In any case, both could be seriously expanded. --Mariano(t/c) 17:56, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

- Both are pretty standard... see LGBT rights by country. Fireplace 18:02, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
- Sure, but same-sex marriage is a much more leaborated article, and the main reference of Homosexuality laws of the world. Though that's not the best criterion for merging this or that way. --Mariano(t/c) 18:29, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
- I as well agree that the move might be more beneficial if this article was merged into LGBT rights in Argentina. That article seems to be a much better location to hold the article on same sex marriage, as it would fall under the category LGBT rights as a whole, while LGBT rights in Argentina could not constitute a section of Same-Sex marriage in Argentina.
