Suggestion -- should there be an etymological discussion of words such as sambusak, samosa, samsa (russian equivalent), etc.? -- Joel Finkle 71.201.82.187 03:57, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Mergers
Unless sambusacs and sambousas are significantly different to samosas (which they're not as I understand it) then they should all three be merged into the samosa article, as that's the most common name in English. This would also allow the importance of the Persian/Arab/Turkic origin to be explained in the samosa article, which is currently rather too India-centric. And as mentioned above all the different names can be compared. For now, the merger with sambousa would appear a no-brainer? FlagSteward 00:24, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
Samosas are certainly different, as they are the distinctively Indian versian. But sambousa/sambusac is pure duplication, and I support this merge. --Sir Myles na Gopaleen (the da) 07:58, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
