[edit] Real history vs. game history
Love these games (at least 1 and 3), and this character, but the game summaries don't make enough distinction between historical events and the game's fictional events. One could, by reading this, conclude there was really a Princess Yuki of the Saito clan living in Inabayama Castle. Was there a Yuki? Is (or was) there an Inabayama Castle? I don't know, and the article doesn't make this clear. A thinking reader could determine that as soon as demons are mentioned in a sentence that the events are fictional, but the games make a point of blurring history and fiction. The article definitely should not. --Boradis 21:05, 11 January 2007 (UTC) Edited by me. --Boradis 21:07, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Big Changes
I went through the article and tried to the best of my ability to shorten it without losing too much of the narration of the games. It occurred to me that the article should be specific to Samanosuke and not necessarily to other characters, so I included details about other characters only when it seemed relevant (especially in the Demon Siege section). I also tried to insert as many links to the actual persons the characters in the game are modeled after, or any historical events the games recreate. I didn't get to the fourth game as I've only played it once and don't have a copy of it on hand to check against. Also mended up the opening section to seem more encyclopedic, as originally it only mentioned the games, not what systems the games were on, and failed to mention that Capcom made the games. I don't know of any detailed information about the games' creation to source to. I'm hoping another editor gets to this eventually. ~tg (edited over and over 21:32, 13 November 2007)
