Hello, my name is Lincoln R. Maiztegui Casas, and my email address is linmaica@hotmail.com. I saw your articule about the folk song "Sam Hall", and I want to make a contribution. These very known song was the main musical theme of the film "Star in the dust", 1956, directed by Charles Hall, with John Agar, Mamie van Dooren and Charles Boone ("Sam Hall") in the main roles. Poor Angus, a band located in Ontario, Canada also performs their version of "Sam Hall" on their self-titled album.
