Samuel van den Bergh
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Samuel van den Bergh (Oss 6 April 1864 - Nice 4 February 1941) was one of the main European margarine and soap manufacturers in the early 20th century.
Although initially in fierce competition with another manufacturer from Oss in the Netherlands, Antonius Johannes Jurgens, both competitors joined up in 1927 to form the Margarine Unie, which would merge in 1930 with Lever Brothers to form Unilever.
