Stephen G. Samual "Sam" Moxley is the County Councilman for the First District of Baltimore County, Maryland.
Sam Moxley is a lifelong member of the Catonsville community, he graduated from Mount Saint Joseph High School in 1977, Loyola College in 1981, and from the University of Baltimore Law School in 1991.
Councilman Moxley was admitted to the Maryland State Bar in 1991 and to the Federal Bar in 1992.
Currently, Sam represents the First District of Baltimore County on the Baltimore County Council. He was first elected to the Council in 1994,and he was re-elected in 1998, 2002, and 2006. He served as Chairman of the County Council in 1998, 2001, and 2004.
Councilman Moxley served as Chairman on the Baltimore County Spending Affordability Committee. He was appointed to the Chesapeake Bay Critical Area Commission in 1994. He is a member of the Patapsco Council Knights of Columbus, and also a board member of the Chimes Foundation, Catonsville Heritage Foundation and Western YMCA. Councilman Moxley also served on the Catonsville Community College Foundation, the Saint Agnes Hospital Ethics Committee and Metro Crime Stoppers.
