Samuel "Shmulik" Lavan (Hebrew: שמואל "שמוליק" לבן‎, born January 21, 1982) is an Israeli footballer at Royal Antwerp F.C. in Belgium.

Samuel Lavan was born in Israel, but left for Belgium when he was fourteen years old. He began playing youth football at Lierse S.K. and soon after moved to the K.S.C. Eendracht Aalst youth team where he reached the quarter-finals of the European youth championship.

After a successful time in Aalst he returned to Lierse S.K. but this time he played for the first team after which he was signed by Beitar Jerusalem F.C. for the 2001-2002 season.

After only one season in Israel he signed with K.M.S.K. Deinze from the second division in Belgium, after three years in K.M.S.K Deinze he was signed by Royal Antwerp F.C. in June of 2005. Lavan also holds a Belgian passport.

His name recently has been added to the short list of Hapoel Tel Aviv F.C.. Manager Itzhak Shum would like to sign Lavan as a backup defender. [1]
