Samuel Crumbine
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dr. Samuel J. Crumbine was a pioneer in public health who campaigned against the common drinking cup, the common towel, and spitting in public in order to prevent the spread of tuberculosis.
He is believed to be the inventor of the flyswatter. [1] His invention, most likely from 1905, was an improvement on the earlier "flybat", first produced by Frank H. Rose.
