Samuel Calvert

Samuel Wesley Calvert was a solider and municipal politician and a member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta.
In World War I Samuel Calvert saw combat action as a member of the 19th Alberta Dragoons.
Samuel served as Mayor of Chipman, Alberta.
In the 1935 Alberta general election Samuel ran as a Social Credit candidate and won election with a large plurality. He served 1 term as a back bencher in the Social Credit government. He retired from the Legislature at the end of his term.
