Samtökin '78

Samtökin '78 is the Icelandic Lesbian and Gay organisation. It provides counselling, social gatherings, holds dances and is an important member of the Reykjavík Pride committie. It has been a key factor in the struggle for gaining more rights ever since its foundation in 1978 (hence the name), with homosexual people now having almost the same rights as heterosexuals in Iceland.
