The Samsung SGH-E720 is a clamshell mobile phone released in 2005.

The E720 has an array of features including an MP3 player, camera, video recorder and Bluetooth. The phone includes a screen on the outside of the phone which can be used to display a digital clock and shows icons when a text or picture message has been received as well as alerting the user to incoming calls, missed calls etc.

  • MP3 and M4U files stored on the phone can be added to a playlist
  • The player can also be controlled using the three buttons under the external screen

  • The phone can store 1000 contacts
  • The contacts which are stored on the phone can have more entries, which are: 'First name', Last name; Mobile, Home, Office, Fax and "Other" numbers. You can specify the Caller ID photo, a unique Ringtone and Group for the contact. You can also add a Memo.
  • For the contacts stored on the SIM only the Name, Phone number, Location, Caller ID, Ringtone and Group functions are available.

  • Email and MMS services are available depending on the phone network used.
  • 3-3 megabytes of storage can be used for MMS and Email
  • Message tones are limited to the 10 built-in ones

  • 80 MB of memory is available to store photos, videos, music and ringtones.
  • The phone comes with 4 Java games with many more being available for download (with 4MB of memory available it is possible to download approximately 40 games).
  • The flash on the outside of the phone can also be used as a flashlight, but only for 30 seconds
  • A newer version of the phone was released in 2006 that had a 3 megapixel camera
