Samoa Rugby Sevens

The Samoa national rugby union team represent Samoa in rugby sevens. The team competes in the IRB World Sevens Series. Samoa Sevens is one of the major threats to the 2006-2007 IRB Sevens Circuit. Ofisa Tonu'u.

Samoa Sevens Team only won back in Hong Kong 1993. However, 2007 has finally changed their status. The Samoa Sevens managed to win the Wellington Sevens and the Hong Kong Sevens. This newly Samoa Sevens team has reached the final four times in a row. They always played against the mighty king of sevens, Fiji.

Their were other Samoan heroes who have guided Samoa Sevens to where it is now. The great Lilomaiava Taufusi Salesa (Coach 1993 Hong Kong) and Marina "iron woman" Schfaussan the managress of the Great 1993 Winning Team

The Samoa Sevens Team is coached by one of Samoa's favourite son's Titimaea Dicky Tafua, with the assistant of Galumalemana Rudolph Moors. Since the arrival of the pair, Samoa Sevens has been on it way to a successful pathway. In the 2005 - 2006 IRB Sevens Circuit they managed to qualify to tow finals (London and Paris) but failed to win any. The Samoa Sevens lost to South Africa in London and Island Rivals Fiji at Paris.
