Sammy Jose Mejia (born February 7, 1983 in The Bronx) is a Dominican American basketball player who played college basketball at DePaul University. He was drafted by the Detroit Pistons in the 2007 NBA Draft with the 57th overall pick. The Pistons waived Mejia on October 29, 2007. He went on to lead the Fort Wayne Mad Ants (D-League) in scoring. On January 31, 2008, he signed with Orlandina Basket of Italy's Serie A.
Sammy Mejia attended Theodore Roosevelt High School in the Bronx, NY. He was there from 1997-2001, and led the Rough Riders basketball team to the PSAL's "B" division championship in 2000.
