Sammy James Davis (born April 8, 1980 in Humble, Texas) is an American Football cornerback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League. He was originally drafted by the San Diego Chargers 30th overall in the 2003 NFL Draft. He played college football at Texas A&M.
Davis has also played for the San Francisco 49ers in his career.

He was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the 1st round (30th overall) in the 2003 NFL Draft. He played for the Chargers for three years in which he recorded three interceptions in 44 games.
[edit] San Francisco 49ers
He was traded by the Chargers to the 49ers for Rashaun Woods. He was cut on February 26, 2007 for undisclosed reasons.
[edit] Tampa Bay Buccaneers
On March 13, 2007, the Buccaneers signed him. He was re-signed by the team on March 6, 2008.
