Samir Meriem

Samir Meriem (born June 19, 1982 in Sochaux, France) is a French-Algerian footballer who is currently playing as an attacking midfielder for RFC Tournai in the Belgian second division.

Samir came up through the junior ranks of FC Sochaux before eventually joining OGC Nice for a year. He then bounced around with ASOA Valence, FC Istres, Yeovil Town and AS Yzeure.

He is the younger brother of French international and AS Monaco midfielder Camel Meriem but contrary to his brother, Samir represented Algeria at the international level, taking part in a training camp with the Under-20 team.
