Sami Jo

Sami Jo (born Sami Jo Cole in Batesville, Arkansas) was an American country singer. Her 1974 album, It Could Have Been Me, peaked at #33 on the U.S. Country Albums chart,[1] and her single "Tell Me a Lie" peaked at No. 21 on the Pop Top 40 that same year.[2]

"Tell Me a Lie" was later covered by the 1980s recording artist Janie Fricke in 1983, who turned the song into a No. 1 Country hit.
