Sami Bay

The Sami Bay (Greek: Όρμος Σάμης Ormos Samis) is a bay situated east of Kefalonia. The total length is approximately 5 km long and is approximately 3 km wide from Sami to Cape Dichalia. The bay is bordered with Agia Efymia Bay to the north and the Strait of Ithaca. The mountains surround the gulf in the southwest and southwest while a small valley is to the south. The bay features an including one on the road north to the northern part of the island. There is a ferry route linking to the ports of Ithaca and Patras. Only The Kissou Avlaki or Stream empties into the gulf slightly west of Sami. The Sami-Agia Efthymia Road surrounds the southwestern portion while a part of a small road linking to Dichalia lies to the southwest.
