Sami, Greece

Sami (Σάμη) is a municipality in Kefalonia, Greece. It is located on the central east coast of the island, and has a land area of 129.326 km², the second-largest area after Argostoli. Its population was 2,895 at the 2001 census. Its municipal seat is the town of Sámi (pop. 1,223). Its next largest towns are Digaléton (545), Grizáta (420), and Karavómylos (342). It borders the Agia Efymia Bay to the north.
