Samet Gündüz (born 13 September 1987) is a Swiss footballer of Turkish decent who mainly plays as midfielder in the Swiss Super League for FC Basel. On May 29th, Gündüz, and fellow teammate Pascal Schürpf, were promoted to the Senior team after there performance in the past year and the winter friendlies that they participated in. He signed a 3 year contract with FC Basel which will expire in 2011.
