[edit] History

Bob and Clint along with their brothers Scott and Dave were members of the pop rock band The Moffatts, whose albums reached gold, platinum and multi-platinum status in countries around the world. After the group broke up on August 2001, Bob and Clint briefly joined a rock band called Pusch with Paul Cimolini and Shaun MacPherson. In 2003, Shaun MacPherson was replaced by Christopher Ainsley and Pusch was renamed Hidell (pronounced "high-dell"). Hidell had a much more mellow sound than Pusch. They released one album and lasted just over a year.

Bob relocated to Ban Phe, Thailand, to work on an English language singing contest called Starz. As the project progressed, meetings took place with key executives in the local music industry. Bob convinced Clint to join him in Thailand and after he did, they formed Same Same and were signed under the Sony BMG record label. They chose the name Same Same since when the twins came over to Thailand, they noticed how people call them Same Same because they look alike. Same Same is a Thai phrase used to compare similar things and is popularly written on shirts sold in the city.

On March 26, 2006, Same Same released their first album, The Meaning of Happy and in the summer of 2006 started an international tour through Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines.

For The Meaning of Happy, they have collaborated with Thai producer Warut Rintranukul and with several Asian artists, such as Arpaporn Nakornsawan and Nui of The Peachband, Lovi, Audy, Jaclyn Victor and duo Michelle & Vickie. For their music videos, they worked with famous Thai director Nonthee Nimitbut. They have hosted the MTV Asia Awards primer, Road To Bangkok and were presenters for the said awards as well. Same Same also sung for the World Cup 2006 album entitled Voices from The Fifa World Cup, for the songs Give It All You Got (with Arpaporn Nakornsawan) and Believe In Your Dream with The Sony BMG All-Stars (Thailand). They also helped Thai rock band Slot Machine in making their second album called Mutation.
