Sambo Creek is a traditional Garífuna village 15 kilometers east of La Ceiba on the Caribbean Sea north coast of Honduras. An annual fair is held in June.

Population: +/- 8,000

Ethnic Mix: 85% Garifuna, 15% Mestizo

Main reasons people visit: To experience Garifuna culture, music and food. To walk and photograph along the beautiful Sambo Creek beach.

Other attractions nearby: Hot Water Springs, Canopy "Zip Line," Tours to Hog Islands (Cayos Cochinos)

One hotel is in village its a large resort only a few kilometers away. Palma Real Hotel, Helen's and Hotel Canadien are a close lodging option.
