Samantha Jane Lane (born June 5, 1979) is an Australian television personality, sports reporter, and daughter of Football journalist and commentator Tim Lane. Her mother died when she was ten.

She was a footy fanatic even in secondary education at St Michael's Grammar School, and began writing about Australian Rules Football while completing a Bachelor of Arts and language degree in French at Melbourne University. Samantha is a female panelist on Before the Game and makes regular contributions on Melbourne community radio station 3RRR.

Like her father, Lane is a supporter of AFL club Carlton Football Club.
