[edit] James Bond franchise
Samantha Bond has starred in four James Bond films as Miss Moneypenny. She was preceded by Caroline Bliss and the late Lois Maxwell. In a BBC 4 interview, she remarked that she would retire from her role with the departure of Pierce Brosnan as James Bond.
Samantha has yet to be succeeded as Moneypenny, as the character was not included the recent James Bond film Casino Royale and is not set to appear in the sequel to Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace.
Samantha Bond's Moneypenny is the only Moneypenny to date to have kissed Bond (as opposed to being kissed by him), as well as being the only Bond girl named Bond.
