Sam Young is a junior small forward on the University of Pittsburgh men's basketball team. Sam Young was born June 1st, 1985 in Clinton, Maryland. Sam is 6'6 and weighs 215 pounds. He attended Hargrave Military Academy after graduating high school for a year and joined the Pitt basketball team for the 2005-2006 season.[1] Young was the 2008 Big East Tournament MVP for the 2008 season after scoring 80 points in the tournament. HoopsHype.com has Sam Young listed as a potential first round draft pick in the 2008 NBA draft.[2] Young is also an accomplished piano player.[3] Young won the Big East's Most Improved Player honor in 2008.
